I'm so relieved that the winter break is coming up with just 5 days left of school. A much needed holiday break. There's so much I want to accomplish but so little time. I'm not sure if I've mentioned this before, but I used to volunteer at a cat rescue in the summer when I had so much time on my table, and I was really hoping to volunteer during the break but as it seems, chances are I still won't have any time. Hopefully I'll be able to get some cool shots for the blog over the break. I also just finished taking a couple pictures for the blog so there's a guaranteed two other posts coming after this one.
This outfit was a combination of two outfits I wore to school this week. I thought they meshed quite well together. I really love clashing patterns. It feels too plain throwing over a hoodie and black skinny jeans, but sometimes you wake up at 7:50 am have ten minutes to get ready and have to make do. My daisy top was a birth day gift from my friends and is from Aeropostale. The two other button up tops were thrifted. My jeans were a DIY project and my shoes are from GH Bass & Co. How many times have I had to type that in, right...
I was rummaging through a box full of tangled jewelry and found this little guy and thought he'd add a unique touch.
This kid in my math class told me to watch Suits. I am now addicted. This is precisely what I was worried was going to happen. Ugh. I tried so hard not to let anyone suck me in but now that I am there's no going back. If I could be anyone, I'd be Donna :) She's so sarcastic you've gotta love her. If you'd like to get sucked in to a tv series with only 5 days left 'till the break, I'd recommend Suits. Spread the love ;)
I'm designing a piece for my school's fashion show which is happening in February so I desperately needed to take a trip to the fabric store. Fabric can get quite pricey so I'm going to make do with what I could get in the clearance section. If all goes well I might get some shots of my progress. Stay tuned xoxo
Love the patches on your jeans, and designing for your schools fashion show sounds exciting! Sometimes at thrift stores, they have fabric but rarely anything more than a couple of metres. Old bedding/ deadstock sheets can also come in handy AND you can take the elastic from them too :)

I actually sewed a maxi skirt using a fabric I got at Goodwill. Wasn't the best material, but for 2$ it's still really cool and totally affordable.
