University Offers + March Break Plans + Catching Up - Life Update

It has been so long since I've written a blog post.  I almost don't know where to start.

I got offers from all the universities I applied to!  This has been a super exciting experience and I love every minute I get closer to actually living out my uni experience.  Guelph and Trent are my top choices, but it seems like I'm leaning towards Trent.  I got an offer to their Medical Professional Stream, which is a program you take alongside your bachelors and provides you with mentorship, wonderful opportunities, and a great group of like-minded individuals.  I suppose more updates shall follow this about accepting, moving in, and yaddi yaddi ya. (!!!!)

Keeping on trend with this excitement (!!!!!!), I'm going on a school trip to Rome and Greece over the March Break!  I don't think I've made any sort of mention about this incredible opportunity, but I am so stoked to immerse myself in the culture, history, and beauty of these countries.  I plan on documenting every single day of the trip, so please keep me accountable.  I leave in six days...

Also, Demi is currently touring.  The coolest part is that she is coming to Toronto on my birthday!  Unfortunately (but really not that unfortunate) I will be celebrating my bday on the trip :)

Man, I it's so hard to resist the urge not to put an exclamation point after every sentence.

All these photos are ones that never ended up being enough for their own post.  I've been working on a year-long project that I plan on releasing here January of 2019.  So Although I haven't been posting much, I've definitely been taking at least one outfit photo a month for this secret project.  Sneak peeks of said project can be found on my blog and Instagram because I couldn't help myself (but I don't blatantly state that's what they were from).

As for other bits and bobs I'm doing...
I've got my play performance in May
I'm still sewing my prom dress for May?June? (I don't actually remember when it is)
The HOSA conference is the end of March, so I need to study study study
Oh and did I mention Demi is touring

I've basically put this post together because I missed blogging and wanted to share some cool pics from my phone.

At the beginning of January, I visited the Christian Dior Exhibition at the ROM with my friends Charlotte, Iris, and Terresa.  It was such an incredible experience getting to see up close the intricacy of each garment.  Although they did provide further pictures of the garments on a little screen, I would have loved if every garment had these extra pictures and lots more of them.  The garments were beautiful and because you couldn't touch them, I thought the set up of the exhibition didn't do them justice.  At least I've got a ROM membership (which my mom so generously gifted me for Christmas) so I am going again this Sunday.

#WishListWednesday - Chanel Espadrilles

Hey everyone! Welcome back for another week of #WishListWednesday.

Let's just jump right into it and talk about the Chanel Espadrilles

Please just take a moment and marvel these beauties.  Aren't they stunning?  I have been eyeing these for quite some time now and they have ever so quickly made their way to my bucket list.  Yup.  How could they not?

The Two-toned crackled and patent calfskin (middle) is my absolute favourite.  It's the perfect casual pair.  (exact one here)

I've seen many bloggers rocks these shoes and can't wait to get one myself.

#MustHaveMonday - Black Boots

Black Boots

This post is all about black boots.

Black boots are a winter must have because they are so elegant and feminine.  Although back is thought to be a very plain #Basic colour, it is so much more than that, in my opinion, if you pick accordingly.  Choosing the perfect black boot is key.

Here are a few that have caught my eye for this winter!

STUART WEITZMAN - QUILTBOOT (Exact one here)
When ever wearing an all black outfit, texture is key to each piece to chose to pair.  I absolutely love the quilt texture on these boots because they are subtle yet make a great impact on your outfit.

LOUIS VUITTON - PROVOC THIGH BOOT
These Louis Vuitton thigh high boots are the definition of skin tight perfection.  Every gal needs a nice body hugging staple, and this is perfection.  I don't know how many times I can say perfection, but this really is perfection.  A women's curves are what people praise, but we always forget about how elegant it is to curve out our long legs.  Legs are just as beautiful as our waist.

CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN - SNAKILY 120 SPIKED LEATHER ANKLE BOOTS
OKAY... CAN WE JUST TAKE A MOMENT OF APPRECIATION FOR THIS CREATION?  Yes please Louboutin.  Thank you for bringing this into our world.  If I needed a statement shoe in my closet, this would be it.  I'll be honest, as I write this I can't stop staring at this picture.  Comment down below if you feel the same way.  Anyways, this is a definite eye catcher.  Just imagine strolling down the streets in these bad boys.  Yes... you know you want to, too :)

STEVE MADDEN - JOAN (EXACT ONE HERE)
So far, I've shown you a bunch of HELLA expensive shoes on the market.  So, here's a beautiful AND affordable pair.  What aught my attention was the gold zipper detailing.  Gold and black will forever be a statement.  If you can get your hands on this, definitely do so right now.

TABITHA SIMMONS - TINSLEY LEATHER ANKLE BOOTS
Monochrome is the happening right now.  What perfect way to do so than in these suckers.  Heads will turn as you struct your stuff down the streets.  Even though it's just black and white, well damn that detailing because it is my everything.  I'm in love.  It's perfection, especially when paired with the right outfit.

ALAÏA - EYELET-EMBELLISHED LEATHER ANKLE BOOTS
Again, just like the Christian Louboutin boots I showed about, these are such a stunning elegant statement piece that every girl should be fortunate enough to own.  That would be the day, right ladies?

That's all for today's post!  I'll talk to you guys in my next one.  BYE!!!

#WishListWednesday - Tarte Kiss & Belle Lipsurgence Lip Set

Hey Everyone!  Welcome back!  So, I if you have noticed, #WishListWednesday is a new thing on my blog.  I was sitting in my living room procrastinating my pile of homework like no other and I this series just dawned upon me as I was window online-shopping, if that's even possible :).   As you can tell by the hashtag, eery Wednesday, I will try my absolute best to upload something that has been on my wish list recently.  It will range from beauty, accessories, clothing, etc.  I hope you guys enjoy this series, so let's just jump right into the post :)

So for this week, one beauty product (or shall I say beauty set) that caught my eye was the Tarte Kiss & Belle Lipsurgence Lip Set, as you can probably tell by the title.

A whiles back I was at spear with a friend and I was watching the Tarte Lipsurgence in the full size and I instantly fell in love.  These lip crayons have completed sucked me into wanting them.

The full size is not the most affordable thing on this planet, so when I found out that there was a whole set of mini versions on the lip crayons, I knew... I just knew I had to get them the next time I stopped by Sephora.  I believe you could call it fate...or destiny... or my happy ending.  The set comes with 8 mini lip products form Tarte for $34 and a value of $100.  Now, personally I wouldn't mind at all getting mini versions because I honestly can't imagine myself finishing a full size.  Plus, with such a wide variety of colours, I can try them all with out having to pay such a hefty price and break my bank.

So, I did a little math... on my calculator and found that you would be paying $4.25/each which in some cases is as good or even better than the drugstore!  Can I get a virtual high five?

All in all, if you have yet to add this to your wish list, definitely do... RIGHT NOW.. DO IT!

In addition, this would be such an amazing christmas gift to give and to receive!

I hope you guys enjoyed this post and I'll speak to you in my next!

Also, comment down below what's on your christmas wish list because I would love to know!

XOXO, Sophia
