Road Trip Day 5

Today's photos are sparse.  Later in the evening, we left Montreal and eventually found our way across the border to the US.  It was a spontaneous decision but we enjoyed ourselves.  We parked outside a 24 hour McDonald and watched Free Willy.

The next morning, we made our way across the border once again and were en route to Kingston.  We have a bit of time to kill that morning before the next tour.  We went to briefly check out the Bellevue house, which Sir John A. MacDonald resided in for a little over a year.

There was a display of Indigenous art up and well as the history of Canada's politics during the time of Sir John A. MacDonald.
We couldn't stay long because we had to head out for the tour.  But we cam back again the next day!

Road Trip Day 4

After waking up in our hotel in Montreal, we headed out for the McGill campus tour.
Thrifted
Seriously, the architecture in Montreal is surreal.  Toronto, takes some notes...
Mmm fresh bread we bought at the market
Spotted!

Road Trip Day 3

We had slept overnight in the car, parked at one of the Rideau Canal locations farther out from downtown.  Bright and early we headed out to the Parliament to watch the changing of guards.  If I'm being real... it was an over exaggerated showing with rows upon rows of troops just to exchange 2 men.  But hey, we found a spot less saturated with tourists where we could comfortably watch the show and take pictures in front of a beautiful door.
This whole outfit is thrifted (All except for my Nike shoes.) - courtesy of the Salvation Army and Value Village and Talize.  It was actually my first time going to a Talize as there are non in the city.  So on Day 1 when we went to Peterborough, I was dying to check it out (plus there was a 50% off sale).
I've really been loving the colour yellow lately
I also really want to distress these jeans.  I've just seen so many pictures and I want to have them all, but I've only got one pair
Meet my mama

We also visited the Byword Market and got wild blueberries.  Then we went to the UOttowa campus tour.
Selfie at a hotel in Montreal we stayed at for the night.

Road Trip Day 2

Welcome back to Day 2 of our Road Trip!

We slept the night in the car.  When we awoke, we headed to Sandy Beach - still in Peterborough.
I ate breakfast whilst sitting on a huge rock and gazing out into the beautiful serene lake.  Cereal with blueberries is so good.  I also read a couple pages from the book Death at SeaWorld by David Kirby.  Update: I finished the book.  I definitely learned a lot from it.  It was a pretty good read, perhaps a bit to long.  But overall 4 out of 5 stars.
We were at the beach at 7  in the morning so barely anyone was there.  Though there was a guy in the lake hunting for coins.  I really like this picture because it looks like a painting.
Oh hey mom
Pretty much the view when driving in a rural area
Ah yes.  We of course had to go back to Riverview Park and Zoo.  Meet Pablo the capybara and Grey Tail the lemur.
Pablo
Later into the day we set off to Ottawa.
Oh hey mom
Oh hey swans
Looking good

That pretty much sums up the day.  Most of our time was spent in the car driving and listing to Spotify.  I got the 30 day free trial and definitely got its full use during the trip.  We especially liked listening to older songs:

Diana by Paul Anka
2 in the Morning, Step by Step and Summertime by New Kids on the Block
Calendar Girl by Neil Sedaka

(just to name a few)

Anyways, thanks for reading!

Road Trip Day 1

Greeting!  Last week my mom and I set out on a week long road trip within the province of Ontario.  A few days prior to our departure I suddenly had a sparked interest to catch up on my favourite bloggers and what they had been posting since I fell out of line with the community.  Reading those blogs again rejuvenated my love for this blog and made me want to post on here again.  I have noticed that a couple bloggers I absolutely adore have also started drifting away from their blogs, which is totally understandable and I myself am victim of this.  But, I not done with my blog yet.  My summer isn't over, and there is still time to write.  Here we go...

The purpose of our road trip was to check out universities.  I will be going into my final year of high school and I still don't know where I want to go.  One thing I am certain of is I do not, in a million year, want to live at home.  We visited 4 universities total and also did some exploring.

The first day I visited Trent U.  It's a smaller university in a more rural area, but the campus was beautiful and green could be seen for acres on end.  After the tour, we went to the Riverview Park and Zoo.  What a lovely public space.  If I went to Trent, I would love to work at Riverview <3

Porcupine
Tortoise munching away like nobody's business
My personal favourites... the red squirrel monkeys!  Don't think I didn't see you reach for the lock and fumble with it :)
Peafowls (peacocks) roaming around
Domestic goats
I'm blanking on these guys!  If you know what they are let me know
And of course I saw a shop with my name.

These Road Trip series won't have as many outfit pictures, but I can't not share them!
