Jonathan Saunders Fall 2015 Read-to-wear

JONATHAN SAUNDERS  Yet another incredible designer and collection that I MUST share with you all.  This is one of those collection's that I can spend hours and hours admiring and just look over each and every piece again and again and again.  I am a huge fanatic about futuristic, whimsical, abstract designs, so it was without a doubt that I would love Jonathan's collection as much as I do.

I love how he played around with a lot of reds and greens, perfect for fall in my opinion.  However, I think the aspect in his designs that truly make it his is how he incorporated lines  against all the crazy to create illusions and give his designs form and balance.  The lines in the patterns enable the bright abstract colours and patterns to shin through however at the same time keeping them grounded and wearable. That's one of the bigger concern about wearing very "out there" pieces, designers need to find a way to make them flattering.  Jonathan did exactly that.

Moving on the prints and patterns, they look freaking 3D!  But, it's no surprise what Jonathan can create because he has great knowledge and expertise as a print designer.  That talent sure came in handy.

I do hope what I am explaining makes sense haha.

Well done Jonathan.

I also wanted to give a quick shoutout to this green-tastic coat.  Wow, I wish I had something like this in my wardrobe.  I'd wear it everyday.  No joke.  This is my life.  The white outlining slims the coat down but in a non-obvious way and the circle pockets are the best things on this planet.  Who can someone not fall in love?

Let me know your opinions on Jonathan's collection and which one was your favourite!  I didn't post every single piece from his collection because then you might as well just visit style.com but these are my top favourite designs from that collection that needed to be shared!

Vivienne Tam 2015 Fall Ready-to-wear

FALL 2015 READY-TO-WEAR Discovering designers I have never heard of before always gives me an adrenaline rush and more of an excuse to procrastinate my homework!  When I came across Vivienne Tam's Fall 2015 Ready-to-wear collection, I instantly became hooked.  Seconds later I followed her on Instagram because what else you do?

Here are my favourite pieces from her already amazing collection.

Vivienne's collection is built with structure but manages to enable every fabric to flow free and look light-weight.  Her patterns are intricate and detailed with emotion and coordination.  I admire her use of patterns and cuts.  I think her collection is a necessity for your wardrobe.

I also love how she incorporates trends such as the turtle neck, knee-high socks, and the monochromatic schemes.

Best of all, I love her fabric and pattern choices.  I myself am a huge fan of these two factors.  If only I could reach through my computer screen and touch the fabrics in really life.  Apple will have to get back to me when their technology is up to par with our needs.  Anyways,  I also love her use of lace.  It think lace is going to be a huge trend for fall and perhaps winter too!

Click here if you'd like to watch Vivienne's designs strut the runway!

Also, let me know what you all think of her collections and if there are any other collections worth checking out!

That Random Red Thing

IDK I LOVE PATTERNS Is anyone else like me?  Like, your style varies day to day depending on your mood?  If so let me know!  I don't always dress in dark colours and patterns because it makes me feel very gothic because of my dark hair and eyes.  However, that day I really wanted to were my cross leggings that I haven't worn in what seems to have been ages.  Looking back at this picture, I think I can officially say I LOVE ME SOME PATTERNS!  They just make me really happy. :)  This isn't my usually ensemble, but I like to go out of my comfort zone as often as I can and I like to play around with different styles.

It's funny because that day, I got a lot of heads turning my direction. haha that makes me sound like an attention seeker.  But really, I think they were more so confused as to why I was wearing a red hockey leg warmer on one leg and not the other.  BTW I don't play hockey... I like the effect and ora it gives off.  It adds an off balance and pop of colour to this outfit.  On it's own it would still look great, but hey what the heck right?

I also wanted to let you all know that I was trying out a new editing program I downloaded on my computer, so I was playing around with the filters and tools to make it very eery and old-fashionned.  Let me know what you guys think of my editing?

Well, I guess that's it!  Bye... for now :)

Colourful & Whimsical

FISH FACE I'm on Instagram a lot.  Let's be real who isn't?  Because of that, I have been slowly increasing the number of fashion crazed people I follow and have discovered so many talents.  I've also come across a community of fashionistas that although have the best feeds in the Instagram game (according to moi), they lack colour.  But, they do this because they love it.  They just love their black, white, and greys.  I admire people who love their blacks and whites.  They are really stylish and now their stuff.  I went through this phase where I wanted to be able to dress just like them.  To only were black and white.  It was a lot harder than it seemed for me.  I'm just not that kind of person.  I love me some colour.  I love my statement pieces, my neons, my patterns.  I love them all.  I couldn't give that alway. I've learned to embrace that and show that off even more now.

That being said, it is quite ironic in the sense that since I'm in my school's play and am playing a girl's evil conscious (named "Shadow"), my costume is nothing but black. HAHAHA.  I know you're laughing... because it's hilarious...

Moving along from that probably unentertaining subject, a while back I discovered this really cool wall and knew it and I were destined to be in the same picture.  Honestly, how freaking cool is this fish face wall.  That's what I've been calling it lately.  Fish Face.  I love it.  Maybe it'll get the most wonderful opportunity to be in another outfit post with yours truly:) (ok enough egoistic self).

Oh, also... I'm wearing S&S (socks and sandals) once again! If you have no idea what I mean then you should read up on my Weekly Round Up #1 post.

I really hope you all enjoy this outfit!

I also filmed it and uploaded it to my Youtube channel which you should totally check out lol.

Mean Girls Reference

T-SHIRT REFERENCE  If you watch iisuperwomenii's Youtube videos then you definitely understand my "T-shirt reference" sub title!  Comment if you do!  So, today's another day with yet another post.  I've been really loving posting at least every other day.  It feels very accomplishing and it's so fun!

What inspired me to layer a tank top of a blouse?  One of my previous posts: Florals Tucked Away.  There I layered a sweater over the same floral blouse.  That day it was much chillier.  This day, it was much warmer.  The sun was shining bright in our faces and the wind was nowhere to be found.  HALLELUJAH!!!  I also hadn't worn this top is a long time.  Hence, I was really temped to see how they blended together.  End result: I love it!

I also uploaded this Outfit of the day to my Youtube channel so you can watch that if you like as well.
