these shorts are no longer shorts on me

HAND-ME DOWNS Yesterday, my sister, mom, and I made a quick detour in our exclusion to visit a small tucked away antique store that we'd never ventured in before.  Although I love antique stores, I never fail to feel extremely intimidated by the pricing and the owners.  The pricing can be too pricy for my likings.  The owners can be predators.  All I really want to do whenever I visit a store is to browse around and get ideas for myself, just to see what there is.  I'm like this when I go to the mall as well.  However, at the mall the sales associates are the predators.  I suppose I am quite fortunate that I am not a shopaholic and I really do value hard earned money and keep in mind practicality.

At the antique store my mom and I found a gorgeous circular metal plate thing that was dented and carved and painted into this beautiful Egyptian portrait.  It was stunning.  It was mesmerizing.  It was antique... It was sourced from a thrift store (price sticker half scratched off).  This was quite discouraging.  We would have been better off going to a local thrift store to find cool antiques.  Especially since he was selling it for 25$ - but so kindly reduced it to 10$ for us since he forgot to put a pricing on it.  Gee thanks.  We ended up walking away.

My jacket is a hand-me down from Jones New York.  My scarf was scavenged at a Brandy Melville warehouse sale.  The black blouse and scarf were thrifted.  The shorts are hand-me downs.  The socks  were from Target when Target existed in Canada fort hat one year.  The shoes are G.H. Bass & Co.
