Cocktail Fancy

Here's Part 2 of the unofficial part 1 that is the post before this.  Same day, different outfits.  Don't you just love being able to dress up for different occasions?  I mean, most of us are constantly going to and from school 5 times a week for years and years and years.  Sorry to burst your bubble.

Sometimes I feel like I'm missing out on so many things.  Like parties, dates, froyo, and well fashion week.  The fashion week depression is definitely thing when your Youtube subscription feed is bombarded by every single show there is every second of the day.  If you want to feel that way as well I'll link the channel below.  But basically they just post videos of full runways and it's such a backhanded channel.  On one side it's so inspiring to be able to see all the creative designers and fabrics and textiles.  (I LOOVE fashion textiles.)  On the other hand, well you get fashion week depression because you can't actually watch them live in person. UGH.

But speaking of runways and whatnot, I really wanted to talk to someone about the Dolce & Gabana show because pretty much everyone I know in person wouldn't care at all.  So, finally, people who understand my language (I think).  Usually G&D hasn't been a brand to really captivate my attention, but their Spring 2016 Ready-to-wear collection really pulled some strings.  Perhaps it's the fact that I so desperately want to travel all over the world, but I loved the embroidery and the lace and the Roman esk they empowered to beautifully and femininely.  I'm thinking about making a few posts one my favourite shows so far.  I did 2 in the past for Jonathan Saunders, and Vivienne Tam.

I have so many cool ideas that I would love to bring to life on my blog but there are so many restrictions, first being that I don't have a proper camera.  I'm going to try my best, and see how this evolves.

My friend's birthday was Saturday and a whole bunch of us gals hung out in the party room of her stunning condo.  Seriously though, it was stunning.  We played some pool (not that we were any good), and hung out on the patio near the fireplace.  The furniture was so stunning and isn't it just apartment goalz?  My friend and I, we love planning out what we want our apartments to look like.  But then again, what teenage girl doesn't.

As I mentioned in my last post that I would tell you all about the creepy guys, here goes.  We were all gathered around the fireplace outside on the patio where there were a bunch of sofas.  It was really late at night and we were just talking in groups, when one of us notices that there are 2 old men a few floors up taking pictures of us. We all start to panic.  I mean that's definitely not normal.  They keep taking pictures of us and then they start to whistle.  No thank you.  So we all eventually scramble back inside.  Whoop whoops, that's something for the books.

I borrowed my mom's blouse for this look because I thought I really tied it together :) (#Puns
ForLife).  It gave the look a chic glamorous modern look but aged it a bit with the ribbon and the somewhat puffy shoulders.  I freaking love this ensemble.

This placed totally called for a impromptu photoshoot.

Gold Flecks and Flare

Yesterday was such a full day packed with pie eating, pumpkin carving and petting zoo petting.  The other half of the day was filled with cocktail shrimp eating, sushi rolls, and creepy old men.  But that other half if going up in my next blogpost :)

There was a community street festival and a lot of stores were promoting themselves.  One store that I passed by was a really cool antique store and the owner was selling boxes full of old antique books for $1.  Sifting through the boxes, I managed to pull out this gorgeous red book of Great Short  Stories.  It's in pretty good condition and I'm really interested in reading what it has to offer.  I feel like it'll be a refreshing shift in eras when I go through this book.  Plus I think it'll look good as room décor haha.  I'll update you all if I like the quick reads.

I thrifted these really awesome 70's flare denim pants 'about a week ago' and could not wait to bust these suckers out in public.  They're a bit big and too long on me so I had to wear heels with them.  But I think at school I can just flip the cuff up and call it fashion.  The top is also thrifted and cost a good $0.99.  The criss-cross lace detailing really adds to the 70's western vibe and I really like it.  I'm usually not a big trends fanatic, but I really do love the 70's trend everyone is talking about.

Me, grunge? Yeah right.

So I've been really into fish net tights, dark lipsticks, turquoise hair, heavy eye-liner, and leather pants.  Not that I have the grunge in me to actually go forth with those aesthetics, but it's a look I constantly find myself admiring these days.  This outfits isn't exactly grunge, but truth be told I haven't taken any outfits pictures in a long time.  I just had the urge to come on and say something quick.  That's all.

Well maybe I've worn the fish net tights before (thanks to Urban Outfitter's 50% sale items.) i.e. the only time I actually shop there.

Apartment Stairs

Here's another little photoshoot experiment I did a while back.  I wanted to post it but didn't know to right time.  It's currently 7:52 am but my clock is a few minutes too fast.  It's September 8th and it's the first day of school for me.  Sounds about right.  Grade 10 here I come.

I've got to be at school by 10:30 so I've got quite a lot of time to kill.  It's a good thing too because I've got nothing prepared.  No outfit, no bag, and I can't seem to recall my locker combo (oops).  Usually I'm like 2 weeks in advanced with my binders stacked filled with paper and ready to go and my backpack bearly able to close because of how much stuff I've stuffed in it.

So Here's my Plan For Today (PFT):
I'm going to leave my house at say 10:10 to walk to school which is about 15 minutes give or take away.  Then I'll meet my friends at our usual lunch spot by some of their lockers.  I'll try to remember my lock combo but just in case I'll bring my spare.  I'm pretty sure I have a short day today to just pick up our schedules and such.  Once I get out early I'll quickly walk home which will hopefully take 10 minutes.  Then I'll prepare and go to the movies to meet up with my others friends who go to another school.  Our original plan was to watch Fantastic Four (because um Miles Teller yes please!), but the times didn't work.  So my friend suggested A Walk In The Woods

UPDATE

So Here's What Actually Happened (WAH):
I got to school at 10:25 and got my ugly green agenda, and my timetable.  I met up with my friends and instead of seeing a movie we just hung out and caught up.  Plus we gave my friend her belated birthday present.  Guess who got the Best Present Ever Award?  We did.
