A Rainy Week for Shopping

Last week was filled with shopping (and raining).  On Monday I went sourcing for my Depop store.  I'm building up stock and starting to photograph everything for the 'grand opening'/ relaunch.  I found lots of goodies!  When I went to the store they had a sign up for their Summer Sale on Friday.  So of course I went back on Friday to pick up for gems.  I was ready to head out when suddenly there was this huge down pour of rain.  So, I got stuck n the store for a while.

Jumping to Thursday (because I didn't do anything memorable in those days between), there a vintage crawl event going on in downtown Toronto.  I went to Mama Loves You Vintage on Queen Street and a couple others in Kensington Market.  It was a last minute decision because I didn't find out about this until the day before.  I asked around if anyone wanted to join me, but the only person I could get to come with was my mom, cheers.  On the bright side she bought this beautiful faux snake skin bag from the 60s/70s from Mama Loves You Vintage and we both got clogs from Courage My Love.

Here I am once again...

It's a Friday morning and I'm at the Salvation Army!

Every Saturday morning I volunteer with the Toronto Cat Rescue.  These two guys greeted me when I came in.  Meet Sherman (Top) and Fluffly (Bottom).

I'll conclude this post with a rainy Sunday.  Sena and I went to the St. Lawrence Antiques market in the morning.  We stopped at Tims for breakfast and sit by the window watching the heavy rainfall.  This day was kind of disaster.  The Pride Parade was also scheduled to happen in the afternoon.  We cut our plans sorts and just headed back home.  On my way home the rain cleared up lol.  What do you know...

Anways,
I'm officially on summer vacay!  Your girl graduated!
I'm also typing this up on a library computer and wearing a necklace.  I never wear necklaces, but I guess I just have that much time on my hands now lol.

???

I cleared out my closet.

My mom's obssessed with her garden.

In preparation for prom, I told my friend Jessica to hold me back if I came across butterfly shoes.  I settled for a punk rock studded ballet flat, but lo and  behold... look what I came across: Jeremy Scott butterfly booties.  Jeremy, my man, you came through.

First 10k Marathon!

This past Saturday, June 16 I ran my very first 10k marathon!  It took me an hour and five minutes to complete the course.  Just five minutes over my goal.  Not only was this an important race because it was my first, but I was also running for my baby girl Austin (my rat).  She passed away on June 12th.  I've been putting off writing a post about her because every time I start writing about her I get all teary eyed.

Running the first 5k was a breeze.  Before training for this race, I only ran for 30 mins every so often, but now I love going for hour long jogs.  It's great.  I've been exploring my own neighborhood by jogging through different streets and trails that I never went to before.  I know in my Sorrento post I talked about how everyone should go for a morning run in every new city they visit, but I should have also mentioned the ol' backyard!

Overall, the event was amazing.  Super well organized and lots of support.  We got a Lululemon shirt as part of the goodie bag and after I went with my mom to the Eaton Center to buy a Lululemon jacket since I had a 25% off coupon from doing the race and my mom had a gift card.  I sound like such a Lulu fanatic, which is something I'm terribly ashamed of (sorry not sorry) because my moto is usually ditch the mainstream brands.  It's Lululemon and Comme des Garcons that I have a soft spot for ugh.

After the race, I shared a bento box with my mom and she also had a free Starbucks drink to claim so we ordered a matcha frappachino VENTI style.  This is my second matcha because its' so good.  I only ever go to Starbucks when my mom has a reward (but boy oh boi did I ever go in middle school...yikes).  I think next time I want to try one of their summer refresher drinks, they look all fruitful and delicious.

Thanks for reading!

Match in the gas tank, *boom* *boom*!

We started watching What's Eating Gilbert Grape in class.  We never finished it, but I think I'll continue on my own time.  I already saw the film in grade 9 and Leo is so talented.  Seriously.

Anyways, my final exam is tomorrow.  But I've pretty much been on summer vacay mode for the past couple days.  I printed out a calendar for July and August and planned out basically my whole summer.  Sena and I are going to the St. Lawrence Market this Sunday which is super exciting.  She had her last exam yesterday  (I'm kind of jealous).  We're hoping to take lots of cool pics.  Get yourself a friend who is always on board to explore the city and take cool pics.

I also went to the Salvation Army thrift store yesterday and bought almost $80 worth of goods.  I want to really focus on growing my online reselling business and make a couple extra bucks.  I'm also going to go this Friday since they're having a sale!

Until next time amigos.

Rugs For Thugs

Another 2015 Style File lost in the archives...

Is it weird that I still kind of dig these?  I don't think they would look flattering on me, but I love the bulkiness and texture of it.  Though they seem like they wouldn't be too comfortable.

It's just the way it is and maybe it's never gonna change

As you may have noticed, I've been on my daily blogging game for the past week and a bit.  I'm still determined to keep a schedule of at least two outfit posts a week.  Except for my phone isn't working properly.  The battery life is non existent and it seems to be incapable of properly charging.  So, I'm not sure how I will be taking photos for a while...

Oh yeah and my laptop is broken, too.  AKA I'me typing this on my school's computer.
